So i couldn't resist turning little ivy's Halloween costume into a holiday hello... i don't blame the wolf... i think she's pretty edible too!

smiles

I could eat this little muffin.

I don't know where the days go... but i am clearly not cut out for blogging. As cute and editable as this muffin may be she is high maintenance - - and i find myself with no time whatsoever!

first cool mornings

I love nothing more than our morning adventures in the ergo... need to make the most of it before t gets too cold, and i have to go back to work : (

Ivy Lena Arenós ('Ivy Lehna AranOs")

She's here!

08.11.08 little Ivy made her debut at 11.57pm - - 3 1/2 weeks early! These last couple weeks have been wonderful and crazy adjusting to our new life... no longer is there such a thing as night and day... it all rolls into one long dream. I still can't believe i'm a mother... i hold this little precious and can't believe she came from me! Horaci and i keep thinking how excited we are to watch her grow, becoming more interactive as each day passes; but at the same time you want to hold onto this moment for as long as possible, while she's so teeny tiny... i'm already freaking out at how quickly time is passing.

i definitely need to be more active on the blog front. i've never been one to keep journals so we'll see how we go this time!

the conill project

With just 7 (or so) weeks to go until the arrival of Ivy, Horaci and I have had our creative mode kick and had sudden urges to create little things. Our current project is designing a little bunny rabbit "the conill project" and seeing where that takes us. So far moving from sketches to sewing has not been easy... and our prototype leaves much to be desired... so I need to start making the most of my new sewing skills (so far I've only tackled cushions and curtains so I think I'm getting ahead of myself) and be patient which is not one of my virtues unfortunately. It's amazing how quickly time passes when you keep busy making... too quickly!

We have so much to do in terms of preparing for her arrival - - don't ask me why we are spending time on these little projects when we should be painting the nursery, buying a crib and everything else that needs to be done - - I think the whole concept of having a baby is still so surreal to us, it makes it hard to focus on the practical things. Maybe this weekend we can channel that energy elsewhere... which will certainly make me more relaxed... the way these braxton hicks contractions are going I feel like we'll be meeting her sooner rather than later! Although I guess you never know...
